On a nonstandard numerical algorithm for a mathematical model of cancer invasion

Abstract
A well-known mathematical model of cancer invasion proposed by M. Chaplain and A. Anderson is considered. The model is a system of reaction-diffusion-taxis equations. The usual standard schemes using finite difference or finite discretizations do not quarantee the nonnegativity of its numerical solution. An efficient nonstandard numercal scheme, which guarantees the positivity preservation of the solution is presented.
