Abstract

With the aid of tools from computational algebraic geometry, such as variable elimination, resultants and discriminants, we study steady state features of autonomous polynomial dynamical systems. We focus on effectively computable implicit dose-response curves, without requiring any simulation, analytical expression of the output in terms of the input, or monostationarity. We apply our results to the sequential enzymatic network in Markevich et al.(2004), where we bound the maximal response of the system. This is joint work with Alicia Dickenstein.
