Abstract

The plant circadian clock is an endogenous 24h timer driving numerous metabolic, physiological, biochemical and developmental processes in the plant. As such, it is of great interest to understand the design principles of this important mechanism. In this talk I will show how mathematical modeling and novel methods have helped us gain a greater understanding of the plant clock. I will also show how this specific biological application has driven the development of new mathematical theory and a software tool.
